Pune university -Eligibility Criteria for Applying Major Research Project for Teachers 

1. The teachers on permanenUregular roster in the University/Collegellnstitute covered under section 2(f) and 12 B 

 of uGC Act, 1956 are eligible to apply for Major Research Proiect.

2. The permanent teachers working in self financing lnstitutions [self financing colleges subject to fulfillment to 

conditions stipulated in the uGC (Fitness of institutEn for grant Rules, 1975) and subject to the condition thattees 

charged ov su"n

are in iccordance with the Staie/University fee regulations or as laid down by any law 

in forcel are also eligible to apply under the scheme'

3. The beneficiaries of MRp scheme, who have submitted the final report of the project but have not completed a

gap of one year as yet, are not eligible to apply under the scheme'

4. Teachers who have already been availing fellowshlp/research proiecUresearch award under the UGC's 

schemes or receiving fundi for research flroject from any other a(lency, need not apply.

5. The teachers shoutd apply for Major Research Projects through ONLINE lqodg onlv. ln no case, hard copy of 

the Major Research proposats wirr ue acceft"d. Tnm, trroJe teacrrers wrro have already submitted the hard 

copies bt tnui, proposalsare also needed to resubmit their application ONUNE. 

6. Before submitting the proposals under the scheme, the teachers are requestd to follow the Xll Plan Major

Research erqeci euiabinLs in letter and spirit. Non-compliance of the guidelines will lead to rejection of the

 proposat as wltt as action against the forwarding Authorities
