Sashastra Seema Bal or SSB was established in 1963 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs as one of the India’s Central Armed Police Force with the name as Special Service Bureau. Pay band: 5,200 - 20,200 + GP 2,000/- PM

Age limit: 18 years - 23 years as on 01st August, 2012. (Age relaxations for SC/ST/OBC will be extended as per Govt rules).
