Category – II (Stipendiary Trainee) (As Technician/C and Technician/B) : 279 Posts (SC - 17, ST - 33, OBC - 175, UR – 54) in various Trades, Age : 18-22 years as on 10/09/2013, Stipend During Training: Rs. 6200/- p.m. for 1st year and 7200/- p.m. for 2nd year. One time book allowance of Rs.1500/-, Pay Scale : Rs.5200 - 20200 Rs. 2400 / Rs.2000

1. AGE LIMIT: 18 years Minimum and 22 Years Maximum as on 10/09/2013

Upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable as under :

a) upto a maximum of five years for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe candidates.

b) upto a maximum of three years for OBC candidates.

c) upto Ten years for Physically Disabled UR candidates(applicable for Post No.2,3 &14) , fifteen years for Physically Disabled SC candidates (applicable only for Post No.2), fifteen years for Physically Disabled ST candidates (applicable only for Post No. 2, 3 & 14) and thirteen years for Physically Disabled OBC candidates (applicable for Post No. 2 ,3 & 14)

2. RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT : Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number

of chances permissible under the relevant rules. Certificate regarding proof of residence – any person intending to avail of relaxation of age limit admissible under rule 2 shall submit a certificate from:

(a) The Dist. Magistrate in the Kashmir division within those jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or

(b) Any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots.
